Job summary

United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) invites applications for a Senior IDM Engineer to join the InnoHub2 team in Malaysia. The role focuses on identity and access management, RBAC, and ensuring secure access across applications.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of IDM experience, strong Oracle SQL skills, and hands-on scripting with Python or Java, plus familiarity with reporting tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering/CS/IT/Cyber Security from a recognized institution.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in identity and access management.
• Solid knowledge of role-based access control and Oracle SQL.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Java.
• Experience with reporting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with stakeholders to analyse and provide SME support in department's role matrix amendment.
• Perform application onboarding activities including requirements gathering, build, UAT and production deployments into the IDM solution.
• Manage the bank's access review exercise including reconciliation and consolidation into centralized access repository.
• Review and maintain Segregation of Duty rules in the IDM solution.
• Provide audit data to internal and external auditors.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and third-party vendors.
• Handle multiple priorities in an operational, interrupt-driven environment with minimal supervision.
• Stay updated with trends in identity management technologies and integrate innovations into the bank's security strategy.

Job Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with a variety of internal teams and third party service providers/vendors
• Capable of managing a variety of priorities and deliverables in an operational, interrupt driven environment with minimal guidance or supervision.
• Stay updated with emerging trends in identity management technologies and integrate innovative approaches into the bank's overall security strategy.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in engineering/Computer Science / IT/Cyber Security from a recognized education institution
• Professional qualification in information security, such as CISSP / CISM / CEH, or Security product certifications will be advantageous. Technical Skills - 5 to 7 years relevant experience
• Relevant experience in any of the IDM tools - Strong knowledge on role based access control.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL and proficient in writing complex SQL queries.
• Practical knowledge of scripting languages, preferably Python / Java.
• Hands on experience with Reporting tools with excellent computational ability.
