Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor for renovation and fit-out projects across showrooms, retail outlets and commercial sites in Selangor. You will supervise contractors, coordinate site activities, and ensure work aligns with drawings, specs and schedules.

The role requires independence, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, including overtime and travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in renovation, construction or interior fit-out.
• Experience in showroom/retail mall or commercial renovations is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand construction drawings, layout plans and specs.
• Knowledge of partition, ceiling, flooring, painting, carpentry, electrical works.
• Able to supervise contractors, workers and subcontractors at site.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends or after mall hours when required.
• Able to travel to different project sites.
• Possess own transport and a valid driving licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate renovation works at showrooms, shopping malls, retail outlets and commercial sites.
• Monitor daily site activities and ensure work follows approved drawings, specs and schedules.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, workers, suppliers, mall management and clients.
• Ensure renovations meet quality, timeline and workmanship standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify defects or outstanding work.
• Monitor attendance, progress and productivity at site.
• Arrange and coordinate delivery of materials, tools and equipment.
• Ensure proper use of materials and prevent wastage.
• Coordinate with mall management on permits, schedules, access and safety requirements.
• Ensure workers follow safety rules and mall regulations.
• Take site measurements and assist with installation requirements.
• Report progress, issues and delays to the Project Manager / HOD.
• Take photos and maintain records of progress and completed works.
• Follow up to rectify defects before handover; coordinate final inspection and handover.

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, workers, suppliers, mall management and clients.
• Ensure renovation works are completed according to the required quality, timeline and workmanship standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify defects, incomplete works or site issues.
• Monitor workers' attendance, work progress and productivity at site.
• Arrange and coordinate delivery of materials, tools and equipment to the project site.
• Ensure materials are used properly and prevent unnecessary wastage or damage.
• Coordinate with mall management regarding renovation permits, work schedules, access, loading/unloading, safety requirements and mall regulations.
• Ensure workers comply with site safety rules, PPE requirements and mall regulations.
• Take site measurements and assist with checking dimensions and installation requirements.
• Report daily site progress, issues, delays and additional work requirements to the Project Manager / HOD.
• Take photos and maintain proper records of site progress and completed works.
• Follow up and rectify defects or outstanding works before project handover.
• Coordinate final inspection, rectification and handover of the completed showroom / retail outlet.
• Perform other site-related duties assigned by Management.
