Job summary

RT Pastry House in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a bakery operative to prepare breads and pastries, including doughs and fillings, proofing, baking and decorating as appropriate.

You will ensure production of high quality products, safely operate baking equipment, and follow food safety policies and personal hygiene procedures.

The role requires reading and following recipes, lifting heavy items, and maintaining proper storage of baking utensils, with other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads / pastries, including preparing doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate.
• Ensure production of good quality products.
• Safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked products.
• Follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy items for an extended time
• Ability to read and follow recipes
• Ensure the proper storage of baking utensils.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.
