Job summary

Medtronic Malaysia Operations Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a seasoned Project/Program Manager to lead multi-phase initiatives from feasibility through closure, ensuring alignment with SOPs and PMO processes.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams and liaise with line management to maintain on-time, on-budget performance. The ideal candidate has a technical degree with 6+ years of experience (3+ in management), Six Sigma and PMP preferred, and the ability to travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 6+ years of relevant experience with 3+ years of managerial experience, or a advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience including 3+ years in managerial roles.
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt and PMP certification preferred.
• Able to travel for extended periods (air and ground, domestic and international).
• Strong written and verbal proficiency in English and Malay.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Lead extended cross-functional operations team to ensure on-time and on-budget performance.
• Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Manage projects end-to-end, including manufacturing facility setup, line qualification, and technology product transfer implementation.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline

Position Description Responsibilities

• Manage projects end-to-end, including manufacturing facility setup, line qualification, and technology product transfer implementation.
• Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree required in technical fields such as Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience with 3+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience including 3+ years in managerial roles, preferably within medical devices or other regulated industries.
• Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt and PMP certification preferred.
• Able to travel for extended period (air and ground, domestic and international).
• Strong written and verbal proficiency in English and Malay to effectively communicate with stakeholders across APAC, Europe, and the United States.
