Job Description

Join RBC Capital Markets' Client & Banking Technology team in Malaysia as a Technical Architect. You'll design application systems, define architecture patterns, and modernize technology stacks while advising business and technology partners. This role requires expertise in Box.com and third-party systems to optimize our content management solutions. Reporting to the Director of Architecture, you'll lead technical planning and execute projects that improve internal operations and client capabilities, ensuring strong business outcomes.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Box Platform, Box APIs, security model, and enterprise integrations with tools like Okta, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and AWS. This is a high-impact role bridging Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Architecture

Develop architecture documentation and designs of system landscapes. Identify gaps between current and desired end-states

Design application infrastructure including databases, programming languages, and testing approaches

Manage data integrations across multiple systems and platforms

Solve complex technical challenges and enterprise-wide platform requirements

Evaluate new technologies and solutions for business benefits

Architect and design end-to-end Box Enterprise solution including folder structure, permissions model, security classifications, retention and governance policies.

Define Box enterprise architecture standards, best practices, and roadmap for content lifecycle management.

Lead migration strategy from legacy ECM systems (SharePoint, File Shares, OpenText, Documentum) to Box.

Design for scale, high availability, performance, and compliance (HIPAA, FINRA, GDPR, FedRAMP).

Solution Implementation

Lead detailed design of enterprise-level technology projects from inception to production. Supervise configuration, quality assurance, testing, and deployment

Create prototypes and proofs of concept with colleagues and clients

Demonstrate Box platform capabilities (security, compliance, AI, APIs) and show how solutions integrate into enterprise architecture.

Conduct technical discovery sessions, deliver custom demos, and guide customers through assessment of business and technical requirements.

Able to work on 3rd party systems such as Box, document management solutions and data integrations

Team & Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with support, and technology teams on system changes

Mentor developers and technical professionals on best practices

Provide technical direction and guidance to implementation teams

Lead technical training for users and stakeholders

Support IT governance and strategy alignment with business objectives

Platform Administration & Governance

Configure and manage Box Admin Console - users, groups, managed users, external collaboration, device trust, and content policies.

Implement Box Governance - retention policies, legal holds, disposition, Box Shield, classification labels, DLP, and watermarking.

Establish governance for external sharing, collaborator permissions, and data residency.

Architect and design technical solutions using Box APIs, Box CLI, Box SDKs (Java, Python, Node.js), Box UI Elements, and Box Webhooks.

Build and manage integrations with IdP (Okta / Azure AD) for SSO & SCIM

Design and implement Box Relay, Box Automations, and custom workflows using low-code/no-code and API-driven automation.

Oversee Box Platform app development for custom portals and content apps.

Experience with Box Migration tools (Box Shuttle, SkySync, ShareGate, custom ETL).

Experience with AI in Box - Box AI, Box AI Studio, Intelligent Content Management.

Must Have

Education & Communication
