Samsung SDI Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Boiler Operator to control and optimize daily boiler operations and supporting equipment. You will monitor water treatment, fuel usage, and steam production while ensuring strict regulatory compliance.
The role requires a valid Boilerman Grade 1 certificate and 1–5 years of hands-on boiler experience, with willingness to work shifts in a plant environment. This position anchors a Fortune 500 global group’s regional manufacturing arm in Malaysia.
Boiler Operations: Control, monitor, and optimize daily operations of high-pressure steam boilers, water treatment systems, and auxiliary equipment.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations strictly comply with DOSH (JKKP) regulations, maintaining accurate log sheets and operation records.
Maintenance & Inspection: Conduct routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and preparation for annual DOSH boiler inspections and hydrostatic tests.
Safety & Emergency Response: Monitor boiler water parameters, steam pressure, and fuel consumption while swiftly executing emergency shutdown procedures if abnormalities arise.
Must possess a valid Boilerman Grade 1 Certificate of Competency issued by DOSH / JKKP.
Minimum of 1–5 years of hands‑on experience operating and maintaining industrial steam boilers.
Strong knowledge of boiler water chemistry, piping systems, fuel systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.
Willingness to work in shifts and fit for physical tasks in a boiler room environment.
