Job summary

Beaumedic Aesthetic in Malaysia is seeking a Biomedical Service Engineer to join our Technical Service Team. This field-service role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of medical devices in clinical settings, ensuring devices operate safely and to specification.

Based in Petaling Jaya with travel nationwide, you will perform on-site commissioning, preventive maintenance, and provide remote support.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading technical schematics and using test/measurement instruments.
• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or an equivalent field.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer-service skills; able to work independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, testing and commissioning of complex medical equipment, following approved procedures to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance visits, including calibration and electrical safety testing (EST).
• Provide troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair support to customers and field-service personnel, on-site and remotely.
• Complete and maintain service reports and GDPMD-compliant records.
• Support the preventive-maintenance and service-contract programme, and manage spare parts and returns as required.
• Travel to customer sites nationwide, sometimes at short notice, to resolve problems or support colleagues.

As a Medical Device Authority (MDA)-licensed Importer and Distributor and an Authorised Representative under the Medical Device Act 2012 (Act 737), we are committed to the safe, compliant and reliable support of the devices we supply.

We are seeking a motivated Biomedical Service Engineer to join our Technical Service Team. This is a field-service role covering the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of medical devices in clinical settings, ensuring every device operates safely and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, testing and commissioning of complex medical equipment, following approved procedures to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Carry out scheduled preventive / planned maintenance visits, including calibration and electrical safety testing (EST).
• Provide troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair support to customers and fellow field-service personnel, both on-site and remotely.
• Complete and maintain accurate service reports, installation & commissioning records and maintenance logs in line with GDPMD requirements.
• Support the preventive-maintenance and service-contract programme, and manage spare parts and returns (RMA) as required.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, device users and internal teams.
• Travel to customer sites nationwide, sometimes at short notice, to resolve problems or support colleagues.

Requirements

• DBachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Health Technology or equivalent. Final-year students and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
• Able to read technical schematics and use test and measurement instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer-service skills; able to work independently and manage time in the field.
• Valid Malaysian driving licence and own transport.
• Willing to be based in Petaling Jaya and to travel outstation, sometimes at short notice.
• Familiarity with GDPMD, MS2058 (competency of medical electrical equipment servicing) or prior medical-device servicing experience especially in medical laser is an added advantage.
