Job summary

KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to support the Head of HEM in managing the medical equipment lifecycle, ensuring safety, reliability and regulatory compliance across the hospital. You will collaborate with clinical and support teams to optimize performance and minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in biomedical engineering, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
• Fresh graduates with relevant hospital internships or industrial training may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage annual Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
• Coordinate corrective maintenance and liaise with vendors for timely repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records, calibration certificates and equipment history files.
• Manage service contracts, renewals and vendor performance.
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and acceptance of new equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management System and regulatory standards.
