Job summary

Damansara Specialist Hospital is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Maintenance Specialist to manage the Planned Preventive Maintenance for biomedical devices. You will monitor schedules, arrange corrective maintenance, and oversee vendors while ensuring adherence to IMS, OHSAS 18001, and hospital accreditation standards.

The role requires a Biomedical Engineering degree, 2+ years of relevant experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work related experiences.
Preferably with relevant experience in Hospital/healthcare business or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
Demonstrates the ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hospital, the brand and the Company.
Ability to identify market segments, niches and potential markets.
Willingness to do work after office hours/weekends/public holidays when required.
Microsoft office literacy.
Able to work well on multiple projects & meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Responsibility and reliability to take charge of certain projects independently.
Willing to travel.
Excellent English communication skills both oral and written.
Prepared to work as a team member in the manner the best.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance to the termed Vision and Mission statements, goals, objectives and values of the Company.
To prepare a Planned Preventive Maintenance service schedule for biomedical equipment.
To monitor the progress of the PPM service schedule.
To schedule corrective maintenance service for faulty equipment.
To monitor the changing of spare parts.
To prepare and manage service contracts with vendors.
To oversee the testing and commissioning of new medical equipment and devices.
To oversee service vendors within the hospital.
To attend internal and external training courses provided.
To develop procedures with regards to communication flow.
To compile monthly reports on maintenance activities.
To process stock requisition.
To update equipment list.
Further instruction by the Top Management of DSH or KPJ as a whole.
Ensure to actively participate in all quality initiatives and activities by the Company.
