Job summary

Microlambda Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Biomedical Engineer / Service Supervisor to lead field service for medical and laboratory equipment. You will install, commission, maintain and repair devices, supervise service engineers, coordinate with manufacturers, review reports, and drive continuous improvements in service quality while ensuring compliance and customer satisfaction.

Travel to customer sites and a valid driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant medical/laboratory equipment servicing experience.
• Experience supervising service teams is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of medical and laboratory equipment.
• Lead and supervise service engineers including job assignments, scheduling and follow-up.
• Provide technical support to customers and coordinate with manufacturers on technical issues and equipment breakdowns.
• Ensure timely completion of service jobs and maintain high standards of service quality and customer satisfaction.
• Review service reports, maintenance records and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate spare parts, warranty claims and repair activities with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Monitor service performance and provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, equipment safety requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Handle customer complaints and technical escalations professionally.
• Prepare service reports and recommend improvements to service operations and efficiency.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Biomedical Engineer / Service Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical service support for medical and laboratory equipment, supervising service activities, and ensuring excellent after-sales service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Perform installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical and laboratory equipment.

Lead and supervise service engineers in daily service operations, including job assignments, scheduling, and follow-up.

Provide technical support to customers and coordinate with manufacturers on technical issues and equipment breakdowns.

Pre-requisites

Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in medical or laboratory equipment servicing.

Experience in team supervision or coordinating service activities is an advantage.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication, leadership, and customer service skills.

Able to work independently and manage multiple service assignments.

Willing to travel to customer sites when required.

Possess a valid driving licence.
