You are the technical backbone that ensures the machinery actually works. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, healthcare, and field service. You will be responsible for the installation, calibration, and emergency repair of complex, life‑saving medical capital equipment inside hospitals.
Lead the physical setup, integration, and initial testing of new medical devices and surgical capital equipment in hospital wards and Operating Theaters
Execute scheduled maintenance and rigorous safety testing to ensure all equipment complies with local regulations (e.g., Malaysia Medical Device Authority - MDA standards)
Respond to urgent breakdown calls from hospitals, diagnosing hardware, software, or electronic failures on the spot to minimize machine downtime
Maintain detailed service logs, warranty records, and compliance reports for every piece of equipment in your assigned territory
Hold a degree or diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field
Can read schematics, use diagnostic software, and are comfortable getting your hands dirty
Understand that a malfunctioning medical device can be a matter of life and death, and never cut corners on testing or compliance
Comfortable traveling between different hospital sites daily and can maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with stressed hospital staff during an equipment breakdown
