Job summary

Warran Technology Sdn Bhd seeks a competent BIM Modeler (MEP) to create, update, and coordinate 3D BIM models for MEP systems, ensuring clash-free integration before construction starts.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate high self-initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work with Autodesk Revit (MEP) and Navisworks Manage, along with AutoCAD for 2D references. Minimum experience in MEP BIM modelling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Electrical / BIM / Civil Engineering, Architecture Technology, or CIDB BIM Modeler Certification.
• Advanced, hands‑on proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP).
• Solid proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks Manage for clash coordination.
• Good command of AutoCAD for referencing 2D layouts.
• Minimum years of experience as a BIM Modeler focusing on MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• 3D MEP Modelling: Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for all MEP services using Autodesk Revit (MEP).
• Clash Detection & Coordination: Run clash detection reports in Navisworks Manage and resolve conflicts with engineers.
• Technical Drawing Generation: Extract and produce 2D drawings including Shop Drawings, CSD, As-Built drawings, and installation details.
• BIM Data Management: Ensure correct geometric attributes and metadata in BIM components per required LOD 300/400.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in BIM coordination meetings with clients, consultants, main contractors, and site teams.

Job description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a competent, highly detailed, and self-initiated BIM Modeler (MEP) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and coordinating 3D BIM models for various MEP systems (Electrical & Plumbing) based on schematic designs. You will play a crucial role in identifying design conflicts through clash detection and ensuring smooth integration before on-site construction begins.

Key Responsibilities:

3D MEP Modelling: Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for all MEP services using Autodesk Revit in compliance with project specifications and company BIM standards.

Clash Detection & Coordination: Run clash detection reports using Autodesk Navisworks Manage, identify conflicts between MEP services and structural/architectural elements, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.

Technical Drawing Generation: Extract and produce high-quality 2D engineering drawings from the BIM models, including Shop Drawings, Combined Services Drawings (CSD), As-Built Drawings, and installation detail drawings.

BIM Data Management: Ensure proper data input (both geometric attributes and metadata parameters) into BIM components according to the required Level of Development (LOD 300 / LOD 400).

Team Collaboration: Attend BIM coordination meetings with clients, consultants, main contractors, and site teams to facilitate design integration and resolve technical discrepancies.

Job Requirements:

Education: Minimum Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Building Information Modelling / Civil Engineering, Architecture Technology, or a recognized Professional BIM Certification (e.g., CIDB BIM Modeler Certificate).

Software Proficiency (Mandatory):

Advanced, hands‑on proficiency in Autodesk Revit (MEP).

Solid proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks Manage (for clash matrix and coordination).

Good command of AutoCAD for referencing traditional 2D schematic layouts.

Work Experience: Minimum of [Insert number, e.g., 2] years of working experience as a BIM Modeler specifically focusing on MEP systems for high-rise buildings, commercial developments, or industrial plant projects.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of MEP engineering drawing codes, symbols, wiring schematics, and plumbing/piping systems.

Key Attributes: High self-initiative with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must possess sharp attention to detail and the ability to work under tight project schedules and deadlines.

Nice-to-Have / Advantages:

Experience working within cloud collaboration platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360.

Basic knowledge of visual programming tools like Dynamo or other design automation scripts.
