Job summary

INTERNATIONAL FACILITY ENGINEERING (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a CAD Drafter responsible for producing comprehensive drawings for proposals, design, construction, and as-built phases. The role involves developing and maintaining CAD standards across projects in Malaysia.

You will coordinate technical drawings using AutoCAD and REVIT, prepare isometrics and MTOs, and ensure accuracy with design intent while collaborating with engineers and project teams on environmental projects.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering and architectural drawings.
• Experience in producing CAD drawings for proposals, design, construction and as-built deliverables.
• Knowledge of CAD standards and documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate technical drawings for submission and construction using AutoCAD/REVIT/software.
• Prepare detailed drawings, cut lists, as-built drawings, coordination drawings and isometric drawings.
• Ensure all drawings conform to dimensions, client requirements and standard technical drawing practice.
• Assist in preparation of project drawings documentation required for submission.
• Read, study and understand engineering and architecture drawings.

Job description

The incumbent will be responsible to produce CAD drawings for proposal submission, design, construction and as-built, and to develop and maintain CAD standard of company.

Key responsibilities

Develop and coordinate technical drawings for submission and construction using AutoCAD/REVIT/software

Prepare detailed drawings, cut lists, as-built drawings, coordination drawings and isometric drawings

Ensure all drawings prepared in accordance to dimensions, client requirements and standard technical drawing practice

Assist in preparation of project drawings documentation required for submission

Read, study and understand engineering and architecture drawings

Self-check and review drawings before issuance for construction

Perform site visits if required

File and manage digital and hardcopy drawings

Work closely with Engineer and project team to ensure drawings are accurate and in keep with design intentions

Perform 3D equipment and piping layout work and develop computer generated construction drawings for environmental pollution abatement projects

Perform 3D Model drawings using specifications, standard drawings, design instructions, plot plan, flow diagrams, line list and supplier information

Communicate and interface with other project design and engineering disciplines

Complete 3D model drawings arrangement and duct/piping isometrics and check other departments design drawings and supplier equipment drawings

Cooperate with engineers on deadlines and ensure timely completion of drawings

Tidy-up/generate isometric drawings and generate MTO (material take off)

Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned from time to time

Professional knowledge in space-planning and conceptual design

Able to read, study and understand engineering and architecture drawings
