Job summary

Cleanroom Industries Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a BIM Modeller to support architectural and engineering drawings throughout the project lifecycle. You will develop BIM models, extract drawings for tendering and costing, coordinate with PICs, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards across projects.

• Proficient in BIM software and able to produce architectural drawings.
• 2–3 years' drawing experience in industrial/construction projects.
• Solid knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Good communication and coordination with all levels; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Receive, review and verify customer drawings and requirements.
• Prepare supporting details and drawings for quotation and tender submissions.
• Extract and export BIM drawings for tender measurement and costing.
• Develop BIM models and revise to reflect updated approvals.
• Attend BIM coordination meetings and site walks for coordination and accuracy.
• Prepare As-Built drawings and assist with OMM documentation as needed.
• Ensure all drawings and models comply with SOPs and ISO 9001 requirements.

Job description

Receive, review and verify customer drawings and requirements.

Prepare supporting details, designs, and/or drawings to meet customer requirements for quotation and tender submissions.

Extract and export drawings from the BIM model for tender measurement and costing purposes.

Prepare preliminary drawings for customer projects in compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.

Liaise with relevant PICs on architectural and engineering drawings throughout the project lifecycle.

Coordinate and incorporate Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) drawings into the preliminary and coordinated drawings.

Follow up with PICs and revise preliminary drawings to reflect layout or design changes issued by clients or consultants.

Develop BIM models based on updated and coordinated preliminary drawings and continuously revise models to reflect the latest approved information.

Attend BIM coordination meetings and site walks for coordination, verification and model accuracy purposes.

Extract and export drawings from BIM models for As-Built documentation and submit to clients for approval.

Assist in the preparation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals (OMM) for client submission.

Support Project Managers or Engineers during site visits and prepare As-Built drawings based on actual site conditions.

Revise and update drawings and BIM models based on design changes, site conditions and instructions from the Team Lead or Senior Draftsperson.

Support the preparation of shop drawings, job orders, sketches and fabrication or site execution details as assigned.

Ensure all drawings, models and documentation comply with departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ISO 9001 requirements.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or related field.

Proficient in BIM software and able to apply for architectural drawings.

Must have 2-3 years' drawing experience involving industrial/construction work.

Computer application competency and solid skill in handling AutoCAD/REVIT.

Understanding of architectural, structural and mechanical drawings.

Strong attention to details, teamwork and able to communicate and coordinate well with all levels of people.

Independent and able to work with minimal supervision.

Able to work outstation when required.

Knowledge of ISO standards will be added advantage.

Willing to travel and work at Gelang Patah, Johor or other locations as required by the Company.
