Job summary

Sun Bee Engineering in Johor Bahru is seeking a skilled BIM Modeler to develop and maintain detailed Building Information Models supporting design, coordination, and construction activities on-site.

You will create and update architectural and MEP models, interpret drawings, ensure accuracy to project standards, and collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve issues and deliver clear documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor Bahru.

Qualifications

Role Description

The BIM Modeler will be responsible for developing and maintaining detailed Building Information Models that support design, coordination, and construction activities. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating architectural and MEP models, interpreting construction drawings, and ensuring model accuracy and consistency with project standards. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve coordination issues and produce clear, usable documentation. The BIM Modeler will also assist in preparing model-based drawings, schedules, and reports, and will contribute to improving internal BIM workflows and standards. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Johor Baharu.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows, with the ability to develop and manage coordinated models.
• Understanding of Architecture and construction processes, including reading and interpreting Construction Drawings.
• Experience as a Modeler, with hands-on skills in creating 3D models and translating design intent into detailed documentation.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within BIM models.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain data accuracy across multiple project files.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and guidelines for BIM and construction documentation.
• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in an engineering or construction environment, especially in BIM coordination, is an advantage.
