Job summary

DJS Interior Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a BIM Drafter to join its engineering and design team. This full-time role is based in Cheras, working on interior and architectural projects using BIM to deliver accurate models and drawings.

You will create detailed BIM models, develop 2D drawings, and coordinate with architects and engineers to reflect design intent while adhering to Malaysia's codes and standards. The position emphasizes collaboration and precision across project phases.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design or a related discipline.
• Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, ArchiCAD or similar industry-standard tools.
• Strong knowledge of CAD software including AutoCAD for 2D drafting and drawing production.
• Solid understanding of building codes, construction practices and architectural detailing standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain detailed BIM models and drawings for interior design and construction projects using industry-standard BIM software.
• Develop two-dimensional construction drawings, floor plans, elevations, sections and detail drawings from project specifications and design briefs.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and project managers to ensure BIM models accurately reflect design intent and construction requirements.
• Update and revise drawings based on client feedback, design changes and project requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, standards and regulations applicable to projects in Malaysia.
• Collaborate with the design team to produce comprehensive drawing packages for tender and construction documentation.
• Manage and organise project files, drawings and documentation in accordance with company standards and BIM protocols.
• Conduct quality checks on drawings to verify accuracy, completeness and consistency before submission to clients or contractors.
