Job summary

Avant Aegis Sdn. Bhd. in Subang Jaya, Malaysia is seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator (MEP) with at least 5 years of hands-on BIM modelling and multidisciplinary coordination.

You will coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and related building services within BIM environments, using Revit MEP and Navisworks Manage, and lead issue resolution in coordination meetings. The role requires strong technical understanding of MEP systems, on-site presence at our Subang Jaya

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of BIM and AEC project delivery experience.
Hands-on MEP BIM modelling using Revit MEP.
Ability to coordinate MEP with architecture and structures.

Responsibilities

Develop, review and coordinate MEP BIM models using Autodesk Revit MEP.
Coordinate MEP and related building services with architectural, structural and other disciplines.
Perform model federation, clash detection, clash review and coordination using Autodesk Navisworks Manage.
Identify clashes, spatial conflicts, access and clearance issues, constructability concerns and coordination risks.
Review models for accuracy, completeness and compliance with project BIM requirements.
Track coordination issues from identification through resolution and closure.
Participate in BIM coordination meetings with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders.
Prepare coordinated BIM models, drawings, schedules and project deliverables.
Maintain shared coordinates, naming conventions, model organisation and project BIM standards.
Perform model audits and BIM QA/QC.
Support the implementation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), project standards and coordination workflows.
Ensure BIM submissions and deliverables meet project requirements and deadlines.

Avant Aegis is hiring an experienced BIM Coordinator (MEP) with at least 5 years of relevant industry experience, including hands-on MEP BIM modelling and multidisciplinary coordination, to join our team in Subang Jaya.

You will coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and related building services within multidisciplinary BIM environments. You must have strong practical competency in Autodesk Revit MEP and Navisworks Manage and be able to independently identify, communicate, track and help resolve BIM coordination issues.

Selection will be based primarily on demonstrated technical BIM competency, MEP coordination experience and project experience—not academic qualification alone.

This is an experienced position. Fresh graduates will not be considered.

Strong hands‑on competency inAutodesk Revit MEP.
Proficiency in Autodesk Navisworks Manage for model federation, clash detection, clash review and coordination.
Demonstrated experience coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and/or related building services with architecture and structure.
Good technical understanding of MEP systems, spatial requirements, access and clearance requirements, and multidisciplinary interfaces.
Ability to read and interpret MEP, architectural and structural drawings and models.
Ability to independently identify coordination issues and work with relevant parties towards practical resolution.
Experience communicating technical issues in BIM coordination meetings.
Good understanding of model QA/QC, shared coordinates, model organisation and BIM standards.
Good communication, coordination and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work full‑time on-site at our Subang Jaya headquarters.

Qualifications

A Diploma, Degree, Certificate or recognised technical qualification in a relevant field is advantageous rather than mandatory. Relevant fields may include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction, the Built Environment, BIM or Architecture.

Candidates with strong technical or vocational backgrounds and substantial relevant BIM experience are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

Data centres or other highly coordinated MEP environments.
Commercial, industrial, infrastructure, high-rise or other complex projects.
BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows.
ISO 19650 information management principles.
Design coordination, construction or fabrication, and as‑built BIM stages.
Dynamo, Revit automation or other BIM productivity tools.

Salary and Career Development

RM4,500–RM5,500 per month, depending on experience and demonstrated technical BIM competency.

This position offers exposure to multidisciplinary BIM delivery and a potential career pathway from BIM Coordinator to Senior BIM Coordinator, BIM Lead or BIM Manager, subject to performance, competency and organisational requirements.
