Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma, degree, or equivalent qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Technology.
• Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or senior BIM/Revit technician.
• Strong proficiency in Revit and ability to manage complex federated models.
• Experience with clash detection software (Navisworks, BIM 360 or similar).
• Knowledge of construction methods, detailing and building systems.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Experience on themed environments, attractions, or complex geometry projects.
• Familiarity with Rhino, Grasshopper, or other parametric tools.
• Knowledge of Procore or project management platforms.
• Understanding of 4D/5D BIM workflows.
• Ability to create custom families for themed elements.

Responsibilities

• Model Management: Maintain federated BIM models (Revit) for themed projects with accuracy and consistency.
• Coordination & Clash Detection: Run clash checks between architectural, structural, MEP, and theming models to resolve conflicts.
• Integration of Theming Concepts: Translate artistic theming into accurate BIM models integrated with systems.
• Standards & Workflows: Establish and enforce BIM standards, file structures, and project protocols.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders: Liaise with architects, engineers, designers, and contractors to reflect requirements.
• Documentation Support: Generate coordinated construction drawings, schedules, and details from BIM models.
• On-Site Digital Support: Provide BIM support during fabrication and installation.
• Training & Guidance: Mentor staff on Revit/BIM best practices and workflows.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised BIM Coordinator to join our theming team. This role is critical in ensuring that creative design concepts are fully integrated into accurate, coordinated digital models that guide fabrication and construction.

The BIM Coordinator will act as the bridge between design intent and buildability, managing Revit models, clash detection, and digital workflows to support the delivery of complex themed environments.

Key Responsibilities

Model Management: Maintain and manage federated BIM models (primarily in Revit) for themed projects, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project local standards.

Coordination & Clash Detection: Run clash detection (Navisworks or equivalent) between architectural, structural, MEP, and theming models to identify and resolve conflicts before construction.

Integration of Theming Concepts: Translate artistic and creative theming concepts into accurate BIM models, ensuring creative elements integrate with architectural and engineering systems.

Standards & Workflows: Establish and enforce BIM standards, file structures, and protocols across project teams.

Collaboration with Stakeholders: Liaise with architects, engineers, theming designers, and contractors to ensure models reflect both creative and technical requirements.

Documentation Support: Generate coordinated construction drawings, schedules, and details directly from BIM models.

On-Site Digital Support: Provide BIM support during fabrication and installation phases, ensuring that site teams have access to up-to-date digital information.

Training & Guidance: Support team members in Revit/BIM best practices, helping less experienced staff adopt digital workflows.

Innovation & Digital Tools: Explore new tools, plugins, and digital approaches that can improve coordination of themed environments.

How This Role Differs from Generic BIM Roles

Unlike standard BIM positions that focus purely on architectural or engineering coordination, this role requires applying BIM skills to the unique world of themed entertainment:

Models must integrate creative and irregular geometry (rockwork, sculptures, set pieces, custom props) alongside conventional architecture.

BIM coordination involves non-standard materials and finishes, often requiring custom families and adaptive components.

The work balances design storytelling with technical feasibility, ensuring immersive concepts are delivered without compromise.

You’ll work closely with creative designers and concept artists, not just engineers, to capture the full artistic intent in a buildable digital format.

Projects demand flexibility and problem-solving, as themed design rarely follows typical architectural rules.

Required Skills & Qualifications
