Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Malaysia is seeking a meticulous Billing & Invoicing professional to generate and issue customer invoices on time, verify shipment records and rate agreements, and ensure all chargeable items are billed accurately.

You will support revenue assurance, cost verification, and liaison with operations and finance to resolve discrepancies while upholding SOPs and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing and invoicing within logistics or freight.
• Ability to verify documents and ensure data accuracy.
• Familiarity with rate agreements and customer contracts.
• Strong collaboration with operations and finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Verify shipment records, POD, transport orders, and rate agreements before billing.
• Ensure all chargeable items are billed, including transportation charges, fuel surcharge, handling charges and other services.
• Upload invoices to customer portals when required and maintain billing records.
• Review completed shipments to ensure no revenue leakage and support monthly revenue accruals.

• Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Verify shipment records, Proof of Delivery (POD), transport orders, and rate agreements before billing.
• Ensure all chargeable items are billed, including but not limited to:
• Transportation charges
• Fuel surcharge (FSC)
• Handling charges
• Customs-related charges (where applicable)
• Detention and waiting time charges
• Other value-added services
• Upload invoices to customer portals when required.
• Maintain billing records and ensure document completeness.

Revenue Assurance

• Review completed shipments to ensure no revenue leakage.
• Validate rates against customer contracts and approved quotations.
• Monitor unbilled shipments and ensure timely closure.
• Support monthly revenue accruals and reporting activities.

Cost Verification

• Verify subcontractor and vendor invoices against transport orders and executed services.
• Match vendor charges with customer billings.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and coordinate resolution with operations teams.
• Ensure proper cost allocation within the transport management system.

Customer & Internal Coordination

• Liaise with operations teams for missing PODs or shipment documentation.
• Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve disputes professionally.
• Coordinate with account management and finance teams on billing-related issues.
• Support credit note processing when required.

Compliance & Process Improvement

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs and customer billing requirements.
• Maintain accurate records for audit purposes.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve billing processes.
• Support implementation of new billing systems or tools.
