Job summary

Prism Precision Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Clerk to manage daily purchasing activities, verify supplier invoices, and maintain organized records in Penang. The role involves expediting delivery schedules, stock control, and collaboration with suppliers to ensure quality and cost efficiency.

The ideal candidate is fluent in Mandarin and English, with 0–1 year of related experience, and comfortable working independently with strong time management.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Certificate in any field.
• Fresh graduate or 1 year experience in the related field.
• Computer literate, proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Detailed, organized and good time management.
• Fluent in Mandarin and English; proficiency in Mandarin preferred for client communication.
• Experience in sourcing suppliers and negotiating pricing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle daily purchasing process including receiving invoice, issuing orders and expediting delivery schedule.
• Track purchase orders and supplier delivery schedules.
• Verify and timely submit supplier invoices to accounts department.
• Maintain good and systematic filing/recording system.
• Negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimum delivery, cost, and quality on purchased materials.
• Manage stock in store including inventory checks and in-out stock management.
• Assist in project purchase list recording and BOM creation.
• Handle other administrative tasks as assigned by management.
