Job summary

Verinon Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a BI & Reporting Engineer in Kuala Lumpur to drive a data and reporting transformation, including migrating reports from Qlik to Power BI using Microsoft Fabric. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver robust BI dashboards and data pipelines.

The role focuses on data modelling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integrations via APIs/SFTP, with strong SQL and Power Query skills, and exposure to cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of SQL development, BI, dashboarding, reporting, or business solutions.
• Experience with cloud data platforms is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze reporting requirements and recommend BI solutions.
• Develop and optimise SQL / Power Query for data extraction and transformation.
• Design and develop Power BI / Qlik dashboards and reports.
• Work with data warehouses including modelling, testing, connectivity, and performance optimization.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and related tools.
• Extract and transform data from Oracle and MS SQL Server.
• Support data integration through APIs, SFTP, and other interfaces.
• Automate recurring reporting and data extraction processes.
• Troubleshoot data, reporting, connectivity, and performance issues.
• Maintain documentation related to data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data and reporting requirements.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities.
