As a Behaviour Therapist at Beesykids, you will provide individualised ABA therapy to children through 1-to-1 sessions at our centre, clients' homes, group sessions and school settings as a shadow aide/Personal Learning Assistant (PLA). You will implement individualised treatment plans, track progress, maintain clinical documentation, and work closely with supervisors, families, teachers, and other professionals.
Our approach is strength-based and child-led, focusing on each child's individual strengths, interests, needs, and goals. Therapists are also encouraged to explore their interests and contribute beyond direct therapy, with opportunities to be involved in group classes, programme development, events, social media, content creation, and projects that benefit the children or contribute to the wider field.
Key responsibilities
Provide individualised ABA therapy to children through 1-to-1 sessions at centre, clients' homes, group sessions and school settings
Implement individualised treatment plans
Track progress and maintain clinical documentation
Work closely with supervisors, families, teachers, and other professionals
Engage in group classes, programme development, events, social media, content creation, and projects that benefit the children
About you
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Applied Behaviour Analysis, Special Education, Behavioural Science, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
A genuine passion for working with children and an interest in supporting children with autism and other developmental or neurodevelopmental needs
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children, families, teachers, and professionals
Patient, compassionate, child-centred, and respectful of each child's individuality and strengths
Strong organisational, time management, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable actively engaging with children through play-based and hands-on activities, including sitting on the floor and participating in movement-based activities when required
Fluent in English. Proficiency in Chinese and/or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
Prior experience working with children with special needs or in an ABA setting is preferred, but fresh graduates and candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply
Willingness to travel to clients' homes, schools, and other community settings as required
A valid driver's licence and personal transportation are an advantage
