Samsung SDI Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an industrious maintenance professional to plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for battery cell manufacturing equipment.

You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, automation, PLC, pneumatic, and control system issues, monitor performance, downtime and OEE to improve reliability and availability, and conduct root cause analysis with corrective actions.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for battery cell manufacturing equipment.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, automation, PLC, pneumatic, and control system issues.

Monitor equipment performance, downtime, and OEE to improve machine reliability and availability.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring equipment failures.

Manage equipment spare parts, maintenance records, technical documentation, and improvement activities.

Collaborate with Production, Process, and Quality teams while ensuring compliance with safety and clean-room requirements.

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Automation, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in equipment maintenance or a manufacturing environment.

Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing is an added advantage.

Knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motors, servo systems, pneumatics, and industrial automation.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical (DMAIC), and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and teamwork skills, with willingness to support equipment breakdowns when required
