Job summary

Samsung SDI Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Negeri Sembilan is seeking a Production Technician to support the electrode, winding, assembly, and formation processes. You will operate and monitor manufacturing equipment, set up machines, and prepare raw materials per work instructions.

The role emphasizes safety, 5S and lean practices, data recording, and collaboration with process, maintenance and quality teams to meet daily output targets. Diploma holders in technical fields encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Diploma in Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or similar technical field.
Prior experience in manufacturing/production is an advantage.
Able to read SOPs, technical drawings, and work instructions.
Knowledge of safety, 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
Proficient in using production equipment and basic maintenance techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Good communication skills to report on production progress.

Responsibilities

Operate machines in the Electrode/ Winding/ Assembly/ Formation Process and monitor equipment for smooth production flow.
Set up machines and prepare raw materials according to work instructions.
Perform routine checks, adjustments, and minor maintenance to maintain equipment efficiency.
Record production data, machine performance, and downtime accurately.
Follow safety guidelines, wear PPE, and keep a clean, organized workspace.
Support continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
