Job summary

Floristika.Com.My Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a friendly Barista to craft beverages, serve light foods, and deliver excellent customer service. You will operate café equipment, maintain hygiene, handle payments, and support stock control.

The role requires you to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, with training provided to enhance product knowledge. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a similar F&B role, knowledge of coffee brewing, and a tidy, presentable appearance.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of working experience as a Barista or in a similar F&B role is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and café operations preferred.
• Must possess a valid Typhoid Injection Certificate (as required under the Food Hygiene Regulations 2009).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages in accordance with café standards.
• Assist in preparing and serving light food items (e.g., pastries, sandwiches, or desserts).
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all items.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment safely.
• Greet customers with a friendly smile and take orders accurately.
• Recommend beverages and food items based on customer preferences.
• Handle feedback or complaints politely and professionally.
• Operate the sales system and process payments accurately.
• Handle cash and e-payments according to company procedures.
• Assist in daily sales recording and stock monitoring.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the café, counters, equipment, and utensils at all times.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards as required by MOH.
• Assist in restocking and inventory duties.
• Assist in opening and closing duties.
• Participate in training to enhance product knowledge and service skills.
