Job summary

Hello Coco Coffee in Kangar, Malaysia is seeking a friendly barista to prepare coffee and other beverages to SOP, operate espresso equipment, and ensure drink consistency and presentation. You will greet customers, take orders via POS, and maintain cleanliness with strict hygiene practices.

Responsibilities include stock refill, FIFO rotation, and assisting in opening/closing. Experience as a barista and strong customer service are preferred for this role at our vibrant cafe in Perlis.

Qualifications

• Experience as a barista in a fast-paced cafe environment.
• Strong customer service skills and friendly communication.
• Proficient with POS systems and handling cash/transactions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare coffee and non-coffee beverages according to SOP.
• Operate espresso machine, grinder, and brewing equipment correctly.
• Maintain consistent taste and presentation for every drink.
• Greet customers warmly and professionally.
• Take orders accurately using POS system.
• Handle customer feedback and complaints politely.
• Clean steam wand and group head after each use.
• Keep bar counter clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Wash utensils, pitchers, and equipment after use.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties.
• Refill ingredients (coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, ice).
• Monitor stock levels and inform supervisor when items are low.
• Practice FIFO stock rotation.
• Assist in maintaining overall store cleanliness.
