Job summary

Jora Malaysia is hiring for cafe roles, seeking candidates with barista experience and strong customer service skills. You will greet customers, take orders, and prepare beverages and food items in a fast-paced cafe setting, including weekends and public holidays.

Ideal candidates are responsible, friendly, and team-oriented, with basic knowledge of coffee preparation and cafe operations. The role emphasizes service quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Barista or in F&B is an advantage.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders.
• Preparing and serving beverages such as drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, tea and other specialty drinks.
• Preparing and serving food items such as sandwiches and pastries.
• Answering customers' questions about menu choices.
• Promoting and recommending menu options to customers.
• Taking payment from customers.
• Tracking and ordering inventory for cafe and beverage supplies.
• Maintaining espresso machines, grinders, coffee machines and other equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting and scheduling repairs.
• Keeping the work environment and cafe seating area clean, sanitary and organized.
• Responding to and resolving customer concerns or complaints.
• Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service.
• Attracting new customers and refining the menu; and
• Perform any other related task/function/responsibility that may be assigned by the Management/Company from time to time.
