Job summary

GFSM (SARAWAK) SDN BHD is launching a new café along the Kuching - Samarahan Expressway. We are hiring a friendly, reliable and experienced barista to join us from the start and help build a welcoming cafe for customers. The role is full-time or part-time with schedule Mon-Fri 7:00-18:00, weekends and public holidays off.

Training will be provided and benefits include EPF, SOCSO, and EIS. Responsibilities include preparing and serving coffee, handling orders and payments, maintaining hygiene

Qualifications

• Meets all food-handler requirements.
• Food Handler Medical Fitness Certificate.
• Recognised Food Handler Training Course certification.
• Minimum 1 year of cafe/barista experience.
• Can communicate comfortably in English.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving coffee and other beverages.
• Providing friendly and professional customer service.
• Handling orders, payments and daily cafe operations.
• Maintaining cleanliness and high hygiene standards.
• Assisting with stock management and general cafe duties.
• Working together with the team to establish smooth operating procedures for our new cafe.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced full-time/part-time Barista to join us from the beginning and help us build a welcoming café for our customers.

Working Schedule

Monday-Friday

7:00~18:00 (Individual working hours may vary according to assigned shifts.)

Weekends & public holidays off.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: RM2,000+ per month

Final salary will be determined based on relevant experience, barista skills and competency.

Requirements

Meets all food-handler requirements:

Food Handler Medical Fitness Certificate

Recognised Food Handler Training Course certification

Minimum 1 year of café/barista experience

Can communicate comfortably in English

Is friendly and comfortable interacting with customers

Is reliable, punctual and responsible

Can work independently when required

Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene

As part of our café team, you will be involved in the day-to-day operation of the café, including, but not limited to:

Preparing and serving coffee and other beverages

Providing friendly and professional customer service

Handling orders, payments and daily café operations

Maintaining cleanliness and high hygiene standards

Preparing and organising ingredients and supplies

Assisting with stock management and general café duties

Working together with the team to establish smooth operating procedures for our new café

Candidates who already hold the relevant Food Handler certificates are encouraged to include them with their application.
