About the role
We are seeking a talented and passionate Barista to join our team at Wangsa Holdings Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. As a Barista, you will be at the heart of our hospitality operation, crafting exceptional coffee beverages and creating memorable experiences for our valued customers. This role is crucial to delivering the high-quality service and premium product standards that define our brand. You will work in a fast-paced environment where your expertise in coffee preparation, customer service excellence, and attention to detail directly contribute to our reputation and customer satisfaction.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based drinks, specialty coffees, and other beverages to the highest standard

Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment with precision and care

Execute consistent latte art and presentation techniques to ensure visually appealing beverages

Take customer orders accurately and provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer preferences

Maintain a clean and organised work station, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety standards

Stock and manage inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other beverage components

Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere

Work collaboratively with team members during peak service periods

Follow recipes and standard operating procedures consistently across all beverages

Handle cash and card transactions accurately and securely

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar café/coffee service role

Strong knowledge of coffee varieties, brewing methods, and espresso techniques

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items regularly

Relevant barista certification or training is preferred but not essential for experienced candidates
