Job summary

Holiday Inn Kuala Lumpur Bangsar is seeking a proactive Banquet Supervisor to lead our Banquet & Conference Rooms team. You will oversee daily operations, coordinate events, and ensure service excellence for weddings, meetings and corporate functions.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a similar role within an international hotel, strong leadership and guest service skills, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year's experience in a similar role in an international chain hotel.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Strong time management and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptive working approach.
• Professional and cordial demeanor with strong negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Banquet & Conference Rooms daily.
• Serve as the main contact for Banquet & Conference Rooms staff.
• Assist in opening and closing duties as needed.
• Schedule, delegate, train and support team activities.
• Monitor performance and guest satisfaction, addressing issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards.
• Coordinate inventory and maintain brand standards.
• Communicate tasks and maintain good interdepartmental relationships.
• Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
