Job summary

Neuron Solutions Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Software Tester (Banking) for an immediate joiner on a contractual basis.

You will analyse requirements, design test scenarios, and execute functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing for banking applications. The role requires 2–3 years of software testing experience within banking or financial services, with a solid understanding of SDLC and test design from requirements to execution.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in software testing.
• Experience in the banking or financial services domain is required.
• Good understanding of banking applications, processes, and transaction flows.
• Experience testing online banking, mobile banking, payment, or other banking-related applications will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and the SDLC.
• Experience in developing test scenarios, test cases, and test data from business and system requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business and system requirements to identify functional testing requirements and test coverage.
• Develop test scenarios, test cases, test data, and expected results based on requirements and functional specifications.
• Perform functional, system integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for banking applications.
• Execute test cases and document test results accurately.
• Identify, log, classify, and track defects using the relevant defect management tools.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, application teams, and business users to investigate and resolve defects.
• Perform retesting and regression testing to validate defect fixes and system enhancements.
• Support testing activities throughout the software development and release lifecycle.
• Participate in requirements review and provide input on potential functional and testing issues.
• Ensure testing activities are completed within the agreed timeline and project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain test documentation, testing evidence, and status reports.
• Escalate critical defects, risks, and issues that may impact system quality, project timelines, or release activities.
• Support UAT activities and coordinate with business users where required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, standards, and practices.
