Job summary

UOB Malaysia is seeking a motivated Operations Officer to support the bank's day-to-day operations and administrative functions at the branch. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, monitoring statements, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining records while ensuring policy compliance and collaboration with other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience in operations or customer service roles.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions such as stop payments, account closures and refunds.
• Monitor account statements for suspicious activities.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide prompt responses.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and correspondence.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and ensure service delivery.
• Prepare regular reports on processing activities.
• Provide training and guidance to new employees on processes and procedures.
• Identify areas for improvement in operation processes and propose solutions.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures.
