Job summary

Amici Food Solutions in Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Commis 1 to join our production team. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, maintain high standards of quality and hygiene, and support smooth kitchen operations while ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

You will follow standard recipes and production schedules, operate kitchen equipment safely, monitor stock, and help with receiving, storing, and rotating raw materials using FIFO.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food hygiene, HACCP, and GMP practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
• Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food products according to standard recipes and production schedules.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation meet company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, utensils, and equipment.
• Follow HACCP, GMP, and food safety procedures at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of any shortages.
• Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating raw materials using the FIFO system.
• Minimise food wastage and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
• Support production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef or Production Supervisor.
