Job summary

Verona Bake (M) SDN BHD is seeking a bakery counter associate at KLIA2 to assist with weighing, pricing, packaging baked goods and processing payments. You will manage ingredient stock, monitor expiry dates, and keep display items appealing for customers.

The role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends and excellent communication in Malay/English (Mandarin preferred). Qualifications include minimum SPM and prior bakery customer service experience, with knowledge of food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM certificate or equivalent.
• Previous experience serving customers in a bakery environment preferred.
• Proficiency in weighing, pricing, packaging, and processing payments of baked goods.
• Knowledge of food and health industry regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.
• Able to communicate in Malay and English, or Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Weighing, pricing, and packaging purchased items, as well as processing payments.
• Managing the baking ingredients inventory and requesting the purchase of stock.
• Tracking ingredient expiry dates and arranging their use accordingly.
• Monitoring the visual appeal and the availability of baked goods on display.
• Reporting low baked goods stock to the Baker in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy baked goods counter and performing other duties on request.
• Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.
• Managing customer complaints and relaying them to the Baker.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
