Verona Bake (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a bakery counter assistant to manage weighing, pricing, packaging, and payments for baked goods. You will oversee inventory, monitor expiry dates, and ensure the display remains visually appealing and well-stocked.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication in Malay/English/Mandarin, and adherence to food safety standards. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in weighing, pricing, packaging, and processing payments of baked goods.
• Knowledge of food and health industry regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Weighing, pricing, and packaging purchased items and processing payments.
• Managing the baking ingredients inventory and requesting stock purchases.
• Tracking ingredient expiry dates and coordinating their use.
• Monitoring display availability and visual appeal of baked goods.
• Reporting low stock to the Baker promptly.
• Maintaining a clean counter and assisting with other duties as requested.
• Cleaning the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.
• Handling customer complaints and communicating them to the Baker.
