Job summary

TEEMS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Head of Badminton to lead and grow all community badminton programmes across the hub. The role focuses on delivering high-quality coaching, developing a standardized curriculum and progression pathway for players of all ages.

You will recruit and mentor coaches, ensure a safe and inclusive environment, and drive participation through training, events and outreach while maintaining excellent programme operations.

Qualifications

• Recognised badminton coaching qualification (BWF, BAM or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of coaching experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in grassroots and youth badminton development.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• First Aid and Safeguarding certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all badminton programmes, academies, camps and events.
• Develop and implement a consistent badminton curriculum and player development pathway.
• Recruit, mentor and manage badminton coaches to deliver high-quality coaching sessions.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all participants.
• Plan training schedules, competitions, tournaments and holiday programmes.
• Build strong relationships with players, parents, schools and community partners.
• Support programme growth through marketing initiatives and community outreach.
• Manage badminton equipment, facilities and programme administration.
• Monitor programme performance and recommend continuous improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety policies.
