Job summary

TER Badminton Academy in Klang, Selangor is seeking a part-time Badminton Coach to join our coaching team. You will deliver coaching sessions to players of all levels, develop tailored training plans, and provide constructive feedback to enhance footwork, racket technique and tactical awareness.

You should hold a recognised badminton coaching qualification (BAM or equivalent) and have experience coaching at recreational or competitive levels.

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised badminton coaching qualification or certification from an accredited badminton body (such as BAM or equivalent).
• Experience coaching badminton at recreational or competitive level.
• Strong knowledge of badminton techniques, rules, tactics and training methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging badminton coaching sessions to students of varying skill levels and ages.
• Develop personalised training programmes tailored to individual players.
• Provide constructive feedback and technical guidance to improve skills, footwork, racket technique and tactical awareness.
• Demonstrate proper badminton techniques and ensure safe practice.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive coaching environment that encourages participation.
• Monitor player progress and adjust coaching strategies to optimise learning.
• Assist with training schedules, court bookings and equipment management.
• Promote badminton and recruit new players to our programmes.
• Maintain professional standards and safeguard health and safety protocols.

About the role

TER Badminton Academy is seeking a Part Time Badminton Coach to join our dynamic coaching team in Klang, Selangor. This is a part-time position that offers the flexibility to develop your coaching career whilst maintaining other commitments. As a Badminton Coach, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality instruction to players of all levels, from beginners to intermediate and advanced athletes. You will play a vital role in fostering a passion for badminton, developing technical skills, and building a supportive community within our academy. Key responsibilities

• Delivering engaging and effective badminton coaching sessions to students of varying skill levels and age groups
• Developing personalised training programmes tailored to individual player needs, goals and abilities
• Providing constructive feedback and technical guidance to help players improve their skills, footwork, racket technique and tactical awareness
• Demonstrating proper badminton techniques and ensuring safe practice throughout all training sessions
• Maintaining a positive, motivating and inclusive coaching environment that encourages player participation and enjoyment
• Monitoring player progress and adjusting coaching strategies to optimise learning outcomes
• Assisting with the organisation of training schedules, court bookings and equipment management
• Supporting the academy in promoting badminton and recruiting new players to our programmes
• Maintaining professional standards and adhering to safeguarding and health and safety protocols at all times

What we're looking for
