Job summary

Prokhas in Malaysia is seeking a backend engineer to build and support government IT web applications. You will join a cross-functional team working with product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to design scalable systems and improve performance.

You will implement event-driven backend services using Golang, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Python, design APIs, write tests, participate in code reviews, and support production systems through on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Experience in building backend services with statically/ dynamically typed languages.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain event-driven backend services.
• Collaborate on domain modeling and service design.
• Implement APIs and backend logic using Golang, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Python.
• Write automated tests to keep systems reliable and maintainable.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and production support.
• Join a shared on-call rotation to support backend services in production, with escalation and team support.
