Job summary

Grab is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services that power services used by millions of users in Southeast Asia. You will work with Go, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the platform's performance and reliability from the Malaysia office in Petaling Jaya.

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services in a large-scale environment.
• Strong knowledge of Go and concurrent programming.
• Ability to design scalable architectures and perform code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and write backend services using Go to improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
• Contribute to capacity planning, performance analysis, tuning and optimization.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards.
• Explore and create new designs/architectures aimed at scale and performance.
• Collaborate with the infrastructure team to build and scale services and perform root cause analysis.
