Job summary

Ambition is seeking a Backend Delivery Lead to drive delivery at scale in Selangor. You will lead backend teams, shaping release strategies, and coordinating with DevOps, QA, and design teams to ensure secure, reliable deployments.

The role emphasizes agile leadership, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures. With 8+ years in software delivery and strong communication, you will influence outcomes in a fast-moving digital platform environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software or digital product delivery, with at least 3 years in a TPM, delivery lead, or scrum master capacity.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native architecture (e.g. Kubernetes, EKS).
• Familiarity with API management, event-driven architecture, and observability tooling.
• Comfortable working with tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Agile, PMP, or DevOps certifications (e.g. CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP) are a distinct advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and business audiences.

Responsibilities

• Leading agile ceremonies and maintaining a healthy, consistent delivery cadence
• Managing backlog prioritisation and ensuring sprint readiness across back-end services
• Planning and executing phased release strategies, including Blue/Green and canary deployments
• Tracking delivery health via key performance metrics and reporting progress to senior stakeholders
• Coordinating across DevOps, QA, and solution design teams to enable seamless, secure releases
• Championing continuous improvement through retrospectives and post-incident reviews
