Job summary

Hilti (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is offering an Internship in QA Engineering focused on backend API testing. You will work on manual and automated tests, review requirements, and contribute to test automation within a global IT team in Kuala Lumpur.

You will gain hands‑on experience across API testing tools, CI/CD concepts, and modern tech stacks (Java/Kotlin/TypeScript/NodeJS/Python) while collaborating with product and development teams in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• No experience is required
• Ability to pick up new technical topics quickly
• Result‑oriented – resilient in delivering and able to work under ambiguity
• Ability to see things end‑to‑end
• Good communication, planning and coordination skills
• Good team player
• Preferably in final year of studies

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and execution of API test cases, both manual and automated
• Perform manual API testing using tools such as Postman
• Contribute to test automation using Rest Assured (or similar Java‑based frameworks)
• Review requirements and technical documentation to support test planning
• Identify, document, and track bugs thoroughly
• Support the team in monitoring quality assurance metrics
• Collaborate with the team throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle
