Job summary

Swift in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Associate Tester Intern to gain hands‑on experience in software testing, QA processes, Agile delivery, and test automation while contributing to the quality and reliability of applications used by customers worldwide. This 6‑month internship offers hands‑on exposure and collaboration with a global financial tech community.

You will create and maintain test cases, execute tests, analyze results, and participate in sprint planning.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Any experience within a testing and/or development environment is an asset.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality‑focused mindset.
• Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test cases based on business requirements, dashboards, user stories, and test plans.
• Execute test cases of low to medium complexity according to test plans, execute manual test cases, analyze and log test results, and record test outcomes.
• Review and analyze requirements, identify missing test cases, and participate in test preparation for a project or product.
• Identify, document, and track software defects in Jira, and propose and run procedures that help to find errors existing in the product.
• Update QA documentation and traceability matrix.
• Keep more senior team members aware of the testing evolution and contribute to a correct evaluation and planning of resources in the project framework.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand‑up meetings, and other Agile team activities.
• Assist in the implementation of test process improvements.
• Assist in the implementation of test automation tools.
