Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, IaC, containers, and cloud security to support enterprise cloud transformation.

You will automate deployments, improve reliability, and collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams. The role emphasizes hands-on Azure skills, Docker/Kubernetes, monitoring, and DevSecOps to ensure high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 6–8 years of DevOps experience, including 4+ years with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Services.
• Expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates for IaC.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes (AKS).
• Scripting skills: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure based on business and technical requirements.
• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates).
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Configure and manage Azure networking, VNet, Load Balancers, VPN Gateway, Private Endpoints, NSGs, and Azure Firewall.
• Manage Azure Active Directory, RBAC, Managed Identities, and Key Vault.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infra teams to improve software delivery.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infra, and performance issues in production.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity for Azure workloads.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and runbooks.

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization, and cloud security. You will play a key role in automating deployments, improving system reliability, and supporting enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure based on business and technical requirements.
• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates).
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS).
• Monitor application and infrastructure performance using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Implement DevSecOps practices, including security scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance.
• Configure and manage Azure networking, Virtual Networks (VNet), Load Balancers, VPN Gateway, Private Endpoints, NSGs, and Azure Firewall.
• Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), RBAC, Managed Identities, and Key Vault.
• Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to improve software delivery processes.
• Troubleshoot deployment, infrastructure, and performance issues in production environments.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity for Azure workloads.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 6–8 years of DevOps experience, including 4+ years working with Microsoft Azure.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps Services.
• Expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates for Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and container orchestration.
• Experience with Azure services including:
• Experience with Git, GitHub, or Azure Repos.
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Landing Zones.
• Experience with Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Exposure to multi-cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) is an added advantage.
• Malaysian Citizens or Permanent Residents only.
• Candidates currently residing in Kuala Lumpur or willing to work in Kuala Lumpur will be given preference.
