Global Turbine Asia Sdn Bhd seeks an Aviation Safety Executive to support the Safety Manager in maintaining and improving the Safety Management System (SMS). You will assist regulatory compliance, internal audits, risk assessment, safety monitoring and corrective actions to ensure maintenance activities meet CAAM, EASA and related IS requirements.
You will deputise for the Safety Manager when needed, manage hazard identification and SPIs, and support investigations and safety training programs
We are looking for an Aviation Safety Executive to support the Safety Manager in maintaining and continuously improving the Company's Safety Management System.
This role responsible for supporting regulatory compliance, internal audits, safety risk management, quality monitoring and corrective actions, ensuring that the Company's maintenance activities comply with applicable CAAM, EASA, DGTA/MSTAR 145 and EASA Part-IS requirements.
Aviation Safety Executive
Deputise for the Safety Manager in their absence and support the day-to-day management of safety activities.
Support the Safety Manager in maintaining and continuously improving the Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with applicable aviation safety requirements.
Manage and monitor the safety reporting and occurrence reporting system, ensuring safety issues and incidents are appropriately recorded, assessed and followed up.
Facilitate hazard identification, risk assessment and risk mitigation activities, and monitor the effectiveness of implemented safety controls.
Monitor and analyse safety performance and Safety Performance Indicators (SPIs) and support the preparation of periodic safety reports for the Safety Review Board.
Support the investigation and follow-up of maintenance incidents, safety issues and identified hazards, including identifying lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Support the integration of aviation safety and information security risk management, particularly in assessing the potential impact of information security risks, incidents and vulnerabilities on safety.
Maintain and control safety management records and documentation, and support the incorporation of safety lessons and findings into the recurrent training programme
Diploma or Degree in Aerospace, Aviation, Aircraft Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the aviation industry, preferably in safety, maintenance, or operational environments.
SMS principles and frameworks: Risk Assessment Tools & Techniques, Bowtie analysis, Fault tree analysis (FTA), Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
Accident Investigation Techniques: Root cause analysis (RCA), Human factors analysis (HFACS) and use of safety databases (e.g.,ECCAIRS)
Data Analysis & Safety Performance Monitoring: Safety performance indicators (SPIs), Statistical tools and software (Excel, Power BI, Tableau)
Audit and Inspection Proficiency: Conducting internal and external audits
Aviation Operational Knowledge: Understanding of maintenance operations.
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Office, excel, powerpoint, lists, sharepoint, teams).
