Job summary

Venture Corporation Limited in Tebrau, Johor seeks an experienced Automation Manager to lead automation initiatives on the shop floor, drive productivity improvements and oversee integration of automated systems.

You will collaborate with site management and vendors, ensure safety compliance and deliver scalable automation solutions across manufacturing processes. Strong technical and leadership skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering with automation-oriented modules.
• At least 10 years of related working experience in manufacturing or process industry, preferably EMS back end processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities and implement automation solutions to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Architect automation and integration of manufacturing processes and machinery for production efficiency.
• Define, procure, implement and validate automated processes integrated with shop floor systems for monitoring, control and data collection.
• Collaborate with site management and process owners for feasibility studies on automation proposals.
• Collaborate with system integrators or automation vendors on automation solutions and deliverables.
• Maintain global site responsibilities and contribute to cross-site initiatives.
• Contribute to workplace safety and environmental protection in line with EH&S policies and targets.
• Participate in special projects/programs as assigned by the company.

We’re looking to add a Automation Manager in Tebrau, Johor.

As a Automation Manager, You will:

Job Summary

Fully involved in buy-off and maintain new automation which include documentation preparation, equipment performance, monitoring and tracking.

Job Responsibilities

• Play a strategic role in identifying opportunities & implementing automation solutions which would involve in–depth studies and understanding of the various operations process flows, structure & business model to bring about continuous productivity and efficiency improvements with consistent, scalable and reliable solutions;
• Architect automation and integration of manufacturing processes & machinery to achieve production efficiency & productivity improvements;
• Define, specify, procure solution, implement, validate automated processes to be integrated with shop floor systems for monitoring, control & data collection for continuous improvements leading to preventive and predictive measures in meeting factory needs;
• Work closely with site management team & various process owners in providing feasibility studies on automation proposals;
• Work closely with system integrators and/or automation vendors on automation solution in meeting agreed upon deliverables;
• Has global site responsibilities;
• Contribute to the workplace safety and health improvement for the employees, as well as environmental protection, by adhering to the company’s Environmental, Health and Safety policies and procedures, and helping to achieve EHS objectives and targets through participation of EHS programs;
• Participate in any special projects/programs as & when assigned by Company.

Education and Experience

Diploma/Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering - Modules covering automation Engineering, robotics, statistics, fluid dynamics and database or related disciplines;

Preferably with at least 10 years of related working experience in manufacturing or process industry, preferably in EMS back end processes.

Job Related Skills

• IE knowledge will be an added advantage;
• Knowledge in Electro-Pneumatic circuit control, PLC programming, electrical wiring and robot application;
• Good Knowledge on various kinds of sensors used in automation and its characteristics, machine to machine interface;
• Added advantage for candidates with knowledge in asp.net, html, Java, Eclipse, VS.net, MS SQL, Oracle and Vertica;
• Knowledge of ISO Quality system & ESD standards;
• Team player, able to work well with all levels and under pressure;
• Independent, resourceful and self-driven with strong analytical & troubleshooting skills;
• Detail-oriented personality with creative thinking skills;
• Excellent interpersonal & cross cultural communication skills;
• Strong business acumen.
