Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Equipment in Malaysia to drive development, procurement and deployment of automation solutions for production lines. You will own FAT/SAT and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure equipment meets performance targets and safety standards.

The role requires planning hardware/software improvements, analyzing OEE data and leading problem solving to minimize speed loss and quality issues across multiple machines in a value stream.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, procurement and implementation of off-the-shelf standard solutions or develop new standard automation solutions to support manufacturing equipment needs.
• Plan and lead the hardware and software improvements of automated lines and off-the-shelf equipment, via analysis of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and other data.
• Own communications with multiple stakeholders including solution providers for design, technical information and specifications.
• Lead and solve complex technical problems and lead equipment validation activities such as FAT and SAT.
• Develop maintenance plans and oversee/execute activities to achieve target performance, maintaining safety and improving OEE for multiple machines.
