Job summary

KOSSAN, a world-class manufacturer of latex disposable gloves and high-technical engineered rubber products, invites applications for an Automation Engineer to support preventive maintenance and automation improvement initiatives in our manufacturing environment.

You will develop maintenance plans, monitor equipment performance, manage spare parts inventory, and collaborate with the Engineering team to improve reliability and extend component lifespans.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in automation, engineering, maintenance, manufacturing or related industry.
• Independent, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
• Result-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment.
• Good communication, reporting and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate and monitor preventive maintenance plans for automation equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Manage automation equipment spare parts inventory, including usage baselines, safety stock levels and consumption monitoring.
• Monitor and analyse equipment performance, including downtime and component lifespan, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team and stakeholders to improve equipment reliability and extend component lifespan.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions (WI) and technical documentation for equipment, processes and installations.
• Establish and conduct periodic equipment condition checks to identify potential issues and ensure critical control points are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, 5S practices and safe working procedures, including toolbox talks and PPE compliance.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Management.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Automation Engineer to support preventive maintenance, equipment performance monitoring, spare parts management and automation improvement initiatives within our manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate and monitor preventive maintenance plans for automation equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Manage automation equipment spare parts inventory, including usage baselines, safety stock levels and consumption monitoring.

Monitor and analyse equipment performance, including scheduled/unscheduled downtime and component lifespan, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with the Engineering team and relevant stakeholders to improve equipment reliability and extend component lifespan.

Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions (WI) and technical documentation for equipment, processes and installations.

Establish and conduct periodic equipment condition checks to identify potential issues and ensure critical control points are maintained.

Ensure compliance with safety standards, 5S practices and safe working procedures, including toolbox talks, safety briefings and PPE compliance.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Management.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronic, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field.

1-3 years of relevant experience in automation, engineering, maintenance, manufacturing or a related industry. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply too.
