Job summary

HOEM Sdn Bhd, based in Malaysia, seeks a Drafting Engineer / CAD Engineer to own the automation-driven drafting library using Autodesk Inventor iLogic. You will create, review, and standardise drawings for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and bulk handling equipment while ensuring ASME compliance.

The role requires 4+ years of CAD experience, strong Inventor skills, and the ability to mentor junior drafters.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; diploma with strong portfolio considered.
Minimum 4 years of drafting/CAD experience in mechanical or industrial design.
At least 2–3 years of hands-on Autodesk Inventor iLogic development experience.
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor; familiarity with AutoCAD and SolidWorks an advantage.
Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII and related fabrication codes is required.
Solid GD&T understanding and basic programming exposure (VB.NET, Python, VBA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and modify detailed drawings for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and bulk handling equipment.
Develop and maintain HOEM's iLogic-based design automation library and templates.
Standardise Content Center libraries and drawing templates; manage version control of library assets.
Mentor junior drafters/CAD engineers and provide technical support to Engineering and Production.
Ensure drawings meet ASME codes, customer specs, and HOEM drafting standards; perform quality checks.
