Job summary

SFAI Malaysia invites applications for an Audit Associate to join our audit team in Puchong, Selangor. This full-time role supports delivering external audit services to a diverse client portfolio, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

You will perform audit procedures, prepare working papers, and assist senior auditors in planning and executing engagements while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, MFRS, MPERS.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and audit software.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Candidates pursuing CA(M), CPA or ACCA advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audit procedures and testing on client financial records.
• Prepare working papers and audit schedules documenting findings.
• Assist senior team in planning and executing procedures.
• Perform substantive testing and analytical reviews.
• Identify audit findings and communicate recommendations.
• Support preparation of audit reports and management letters.
• Liaise with clients to obtain documentation.
• Contribute to process and methodology improvements.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards.
