Job summary

ACCA Careers seeks an experienced professional to oversee and lead audit engagements in Malaysia. The role includes supervising staff, reviewing working papers, and drafting audit reports, with responsibility for engagement planning, budgeting, and client communications.

You will coordinate all phases of engagements and provide on-the-job training. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, at least 4 years of audit experience, and strong communication, people, and project

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead audit compliance engagements.
• Supervise staff and review working papers and draft audit report.
• Coordinate all phases of engagement (quotation, engagement letter, client communications, staffing, deliverables, timelines).
• Contact management regarding audit scope, status, and findings.
• Provide on-the-job training for staff.
• Supervise findings and follow-up tasks.
• Participate in or lead assigned special projects or audit assignments.
• Assess staff performance for staff evaluations.

• Providing supervision and assignments to team members as reviewing working papers completed by staff and drafting audit report.
• Responsible and coordinate all phases of the engagement, including the execution of the quotation, engagement letter, communications with the client, staffing requirements, deliverables, timelines, client, availability, job planning, and scheduling.
• Responsible for contact with management regarding audit scope, status, and findings
• Provides on-the-job training for staff
• Supervises findings and follow-up tasks with management and audit staff
• Participate and/or lead assigned special projects or audit assignments.
• Assess and providing feedback on staff performance for staff evaluations.
